day 27-35

We’re still going strong just haven’t been posting hehe. We’ve been exploring local vegetarian restaurants and enjoyed all of them a lot. If we hadn’t decided to go vegetarian, we would not have discovered these hidden gems. However, we don’t think it’s healthy to eat out often, even though it’s vegan food, we don’t believe it’s healthy since they used a lot of artificial meat so we’re planning to cook more.

Some of the food we made will never make it in our rotation because they did not taste good lol.

I had canh bun for the first time last week. It’s Vietnamese noodle soup that tasted very similar to bun rieu. I think both are tomato-based soup, but canh bun I had used a different type of noodles that used in bun bo hue. I’ll definitely have it again:)

My mom is home this week, so we have our chef for a few days with us and she made this tofu stew with mushrooms, wood-ear mushrooms and carrots. It’s really good! I’ll make it myself sometime.

I also made chickpeas curry, which was pretty good especially with flat bread. If I decide to make it again, I’ll definitely cook the chickpeas a bit longer.

I also made a big pot of tofu skin stew. I went way overboard with it, and we had a hard time finishing it. It didn’t taste as good as I’d hoped. No more making it!

M’s mom also made this potato and black dried mushroom dish for us. It tasted pretty good.
